5 out of 5 stars Dang, these guys are MUCH different now.   July 12, 2009
Devan Sizemore (¡Cerca de bibliotecha!)
Don't let the cover fool ya, these guys know how to rock! When you order the cd, you don't get the cover advertised, you get a less homoerotic cover of the faces of the band members.

RAMMSTEIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Not a bad thing to say about it   June 29, 2009
Kevin G. Mccabe (Somewhere)
This is probably one of the best metal albums ever created. And that is no stretch. Not only is this Rammstein's utter best (with Sensucht close behind), it's also one of the best ever. This album never once disappoints from beginning to end. It's the most solid work they've ever conceived, and this should be an example for all metal bands today. You don't need to scream like an animal to make good metal. Rammstein are naturals. They were born to do this. And they've just set in stone that they are among the best in the business. It's too bad not enough Americans know about them. These guys rock hardcore. And I mean HARD. CORE. If you love metal, BUY THIS. You don't even necessarily have to understand the words. The music is amazing. Plus the lyrics are in the booklet for you to read. GET THIS NOW. You absolutely will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Not the same crap.   May 18, 2009

Great album! This band has an edge not found in most of the music today. Most of the newer stuff sounds the same and the bands are very boring. Being a fan of older metal and rock, Rammstein are a welcome change to the cookie cutter bands that abound today. I discovered the band a few years back and they are now one of my favorites. The guitar is heavy and hard but not overdone. The singer actually sings instead of moaning or screaming.

5 out of 5 stars Great Album   September 8, 2008

Rammstein's debut album doesn't dissapoint. I listened to most of the tracks long before I got the album itself. To say that this is Rammstein at its rawest and simplest isn't really an understatement. Eventually, the band started to develop a more melodic and slower style, decreasing with each album until Reise Reise. I am keen to the slower songs, like Seemann, Klavier and Nebel. I started with Mutter, and it took me long to buy another album from the band... basically because the band was kind of typecasted with Du Hast when The Matrix was released and you basically heard it every week for two years.

My personal favorites from this album are Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen?, Der Meister and Du Riechst So Gut. It's great to hear a band that's good from the very beggining.

5 out of 5 stars Rammstein's debut was amazing   May 30, 2008

Rammstein's debut album starts out with a rumbling, menacing sound and ends with a powerful crash. This perfectly reflects on the nature of Rammstein, a powerful force that builds up and suddenly destroys everything, then leaves a rumbling echo that slowly dissipates. If you've never heard Rammstein, this is obviously the place to start.
