If you have a newborn, you NEED this DVD (and accompanying white-noise CD).
True, the production quality isn't great, but the information and tips in it are absolutely, positively priceless.
Not every trick will work on every baby every time, but knowing the 5 S's and finding a combination that works will, far more often than not, calm a crying infant.
We still use the swaddling and white noise trick on our 4-month-old daughter and they work like charms. I am so glad to have found this program. I would not have survived the first 2 months without this.
Buy the CD, too! It works.

The book is written like the advice is magic. Its annoying. They could have just written an article on the suggestions. Not worth buying, just borrow it from the library, skim the material and send it back. Better yet, borrow the film. You get the same out of it.

I purchased this for a gift for my cousin who just had twins because 3 mothers in my department at work recommended it as having fabulous information. One mom said that the video is better than the book because you can see the swaddling being done and/or listen as you are doing things with the baby because you may not have the time to sit down & "read a book" with a newborn.

the techniques here are really helpful and we would not have slept well in the early weeks of our daughter. it really works. it takes time to practice it with your baby, when you get it right tho, it makes a whole lot of difference.
