Album Description Lush shimmering vocals, an intricately groovin' guitar style, and a lyrical beauty rare in a young writer, Dennen's folk nouveau style is one that sounds immediately familiar yet pleasantly unique. This California native continues to grow his fan base with a live show consisting of the honest songwriting of a Jack Johnson, the guitar work of a Paul Simon and the attention grabbing energy of a Ben Harper leaving all in his wake yearning for more.

Talented Artist, One Of the Best In The Singer/Songwriter Category! November 22, 2009 Scott Martin (Florida) I'm not sure how I stumbled across Brett's music and I guess it doesn't much matter. I own all of his albums and this one is probably my favorite, but it's a close race. After spending some time listening to this album I've got to say my favorite song on it is "She's Mine", but it's one tough call to make.
This is a great uplifting album from a very talented musician and I can't wait to hear more and catch him in concert next time he visits Florida. Get this album you won't be disappointed!
Glad I Stumbled... August 22, 2009 Lost Angelis (NC) I stumbled on Dennen while signed into Pandora at work. I am so thrilled that I did. How wonderful and insightful this young man is and his lyrics so crisp and fresh. He's nailed those emotions that many of us find so hard to put into words. His voice...well, there are no words, no pun intended, but a gift from God that I am so glad that I was able to receive second hand. I can't imagine that anyone could be disappointed with Brett Dennen.
Marked in the Sky July 19, 2009 Lee Armstrong (Winterville, NC United States) "So Much More" is an excellent set from this distinctive singer. "Darlin' Do Not Fear" has an upbeat melody and intriguing lyric, "Sometimes your path is marked in the sky; Sometimes you're forced to fit in between the lines; Sometimes all you can do is say no." Dennen's voice as a singer is pleasingly different, a bit high-pitched. Riders in my car sometimes ask about his gender when listening. "She's Mine" may resemble Dylan's "I Want You," but at least Brett's patterning after a master. "The One Who Loves You Most" is an excellent track with its catchy melody and simple passion in Dennen's vocals, "When the sky is falling from above you & the wind is raging from the coast & you want someone who truly loves you, I'll be the one who loves you the most." "I Asked When" scans like a classic folk track with Dennen dipping deep into a Dylan direction, "I asked when is the revolution?" Other tracks like "Because You Are a Woman" & "Someday" are also strong. The CD is enhanced with several extra videos that play on the computer. This is an excellent outing from this fine young singer/songwriter. Enjoy!
Another great album! June 27, 2009 Sharon M. Rice (Paso Robles, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Brett's style is so different, it's like a modern day Bob Dylan. Easy to listen to and the words are sometimes quite profound. He is a talent!
A few spectacular songs; decent album May 16, 2009 Adam Woodrum (Las Vegas, NV) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
"Ain't No Reason" came installed on my G1 and I loved it so much it inspired me to buy the complete album; something I haven't done in a very, very long time for a new (to me) artist. There are a couple of other great songs on the disc, but overall it's just okay. You may want to sample, then pick your favorites. I'm not disappointed, though!!
