And yet, Bad can t help but reach for salvation with the help of Jean (MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL), a journalist who discovers the real man behind the musician. poor sound quality September 3, 2010 dan c. (bath, me. United States) This is a major disappointment for me. These are great tunes that were destroyed in the process of taking mixes made for the movie and translating to CD format. Everything that was already recorded by various artist sounds fine. The tunes recorded specifically for movie fall flat. Get ready to turn your bass down all the way and your treble all the way up. To sum it up, love the tunes...hate the mix.
The best everything August 25, 2010 Carol Marvin (Ohio) Crazy Heart turned out to be my favourite movied and soundtrack CD. I had no idea Jeff Bridges was so amazingly talented, I've been a huge fan of his movies.......now I know he's a great drunk cowboy singer.
Surprisingly Good August 18, 2010 R. H. George (Beavercreek, OH United States) If you saw the movie, you want this disc. Jeff Bridges has a surprisingly-good country voice and the guitar music is great. Like most CDs, a few tracks I don't care for, but that is a matter of taste. I would have given 5 stars if I had liked all the tracks. This disc if fast becoming one of my favorites.
Jeff Rules August 2, 2010 Liz Defoe (Canyon Lake, CA) If you loved the movie, you will of course love the CD. It's as simple as that.
Marginal sound quality July 14, 2010 Simcoe (Burbank, CA) Overall this is a good soundtrack but I am disappointed in the sound quality of Jeff Bridges' songs. They sound muffled and muted, almost as if they were recorded from the film itself as opposed to a separate studio recording. The songs by other artists all sound like studio recordings. And the sound quality of Jeff Bridges songs from the DVD was fine, which is why I bought the soundtrack.
