Product Description Overture and beginners please... Strike up the band... Stand by for Celtic Thunder... and It s Entertainment . This stylish and high energy trip through some of the great songs of the last 30 years is pure showbiz! It is a tribute from Celtic Thunder to the legacy they have inherited from the great entertainers of the past, and a mark of how far they themselves have travelled as performers, in a few short years. It evokes an era of big bands and boulevards, top hats and tails and singing and dancin in the rain! It makes for irresistible listening as the principals from this generation pay their respects to the stars of an earlier time. In the true tradition of variety the music covers a mix of styles, of songs and of singers, as the lads salute their musical heroes- from Fred Astaire to Neil Diamond, from Jim Croce to Chicago, from Michael Buble to The Beach Boys! Each member features with two songs, one a serious workout, the other a bit of pure fun and a chance to let the hair down! These lighter choices have George stomping around to The Proclaimer s My Life With You , while Ryan takes on the persona of a Chicago gangster with Bad, Bad Leroy Brown . Keith slips right into character with a Surfer Medley and Damian becomes a bit of a boulevardier with Standing On The Corner . Paul steps up to the plate as an accomplished song and dance man with the rooty-tooty Doo Wacka Doo , specially written by Phil Coulter. One big surprise package is guitarist Neil who not only joins Ryan and Keith in a haunting, close harmony version of Leonard Cohen s Hallelujah but also delivers a superb, soulful solo on the Disney classic When You Wish Upon A Star . The show is rounded off by a couple of ensemble numbers, featuring all six singers, the perennial Amazing Grace and U2 s anthemic Still Haven t Found What I m Looking For . All in all, this is an inspired celebration of wonderful songs and great singers, an uplifting feel-good package that is the perfect antidote to the recession blues!

Varietizing Celtic Thunder August 19, 2010 Olivia Joy (USA) I know that a lot of Celtic Thunder fans do not like this CD because it is less "celtic" and more..."Broadway/pop". I, however, am glad that they took a different turn for their fourth CD. First off, by now there is enough variety that adding some more pop/modern songs to the trunk isn't so bad. Plus, Celtic Thunder is good because of their voices and arrangement, not only the songs they sing. And of course their voices/arrangement can make any song good! I would recommend listening to some samples on youtube if you aren't sure if you will like it, but die-hard Celtic Thunder fans will hopefully enjoy this latest installment.
missing a song August 2, 2010 Maureen Chandler I got oit for a friend and the final exclusive bonus track was not on it like it was on the one I got from PBS.
rxcellent renditions of work giving them their own style July 27, 2010 T. E. Yarbrough (Spring, Texas United States) We've seen these fellows in person a number of times and really enjoy their talent. This collection of music reinforces our enjoyment.
Highlights the strengths of each of them July 27, 2010 -B- Some people prefer the more traditional Celtic music like in the previous CDs, but I really enjoy both styles. This CD has a more playful style and covers MUCH more pop music, while still containing a few romantic/slow moving pieces.
What I love most about this CD is that it truly allows each member to shine in their own way. I love Paul, but I've never been a fan of his style of singing, but he is just so perfect for Doo Wacka Doo and Sway. Life With You featuring George is my favorite track on the CD. Bad Bad Leroy Brown is my favorite single of Ryan's. Keith sounds fantastic in Hard to Say I'm Sorry and his voice is well suited for the Surfer Medley too (although I don't like that song much). Damian's new voice is...wow. Honestly, I didn't like his cover of Home the first time I heard it, but now when I hear him hit the high notes in it, my heart just melts. ¢¾
And then they all come together with Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, which always puts me in a good mood when I listen to it. =D
Great Celtic Music July 24, 2010 Sylvia B. Vanderford (Roseville, CA.) It's Entertainment is putting it mildly. Celtic Trunder's singer/acting is one of the best Celtic music programs on video. There is never a dull moment. The singers are constantly changing from 1 song to another with no dead space in between and the act out their songs, so it kinda like watching a play with singing. There are 4 handsome guys from Ireland and 1 is from Scotland. I don't think that anyone who buys this video will be disappointed. The CD is great to listen to but I think that to get the full effect of Celtic Thunder's music you must see it on video. I would highly recommend this video for anyone. If you have never heard good Celtic music - you are in for a treat with these singer/actor's.
